Association demands pending honorarium

ITANAGAR, Feb 14: The All Arunachal Pradesh Saakshar Bharat Mission Employee Association (AAPSBMA) has appealed to the Education Minister to release 29 months’ pending payment of employees working under the Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM).
The association in its memorandum to the Education Minister also demanded for effective implementation of equivalency programme in all 1713 gram panchayats and continuation of SBM employees in the programme.
It further demanded regularization of SBM employees and enhancement of honorarium.
The SBM was launched by the Government of India in 2009-10 with total literacy campaign mission to educate non-literate people, focusing on females in rural areas.
