ITANAGAR, Feb 23: Three children have been rescued from a government quarter in Yupia, Papum Pare today.
The children, two boys and a girl between the age group of three to seven were rescued from the house of one Toko Neet, according to the police.
SP Papum Pare Tumme Amo said that children have been handed over to the labour officer, Itanagar. The SP has said that he has asked Neet to handover another more child reported to be in Yazali.
He further said that police is yet to register a case but will do so after investigation.
The children are from Assam. An anonymous caller had alerted the Child Line in Kolkota regarding the children, engaged as laborers and physically abused, who in turn informed the Itanagar branch of Child Line.
