ITANAGAR, Mar 1: The Galo Students’ Union (GSU)’s Anti-Corruption Committee , in a memorandum to the Sports and Youth Affairs secretary has requested for proper instruction to the concerned executive officers for calling NIT as per guidelines in execution of works under the Sports department for maintaining transparency.
The GSU anti-corruption cell alleged that works of the Sports department under Liromoba, Yomcha, Darak, Kamba administrative circle in West Siang district are being awarded on ‘pick and choose’ basis without inviting tender, which is in ‘complete violation of the CPWD manual and CVC guidelines’.
It further requested the Finance commissioner not to issue any order for release of payment against works without submission of relevant documents, such as the copy of NIT against any specific work.
