ITANAGAR, Mar 4: After reaching the semi final stage of the recently concluded 42nd Indian Masters (Veteran) National Badminton Championships played at Vizag in Visakhapatnam, one Yupu Boni of state has achieved third position in the coveted championship.
Boni represented Arunachal Pradesh in the 35+ singles category.
Boni defeated ace shuttlers of the country, like Shruti Keerti, Annie Pawanh and Rachna Tiwari before she was finally outclassed by top seed Radikha Reddy K in the semis.
Besides Boni, the Arunachal contingent participated in 35+ men’s singles and doubles, 35+ mixed doubles, 35 and 40+ women’s singles and doubles, 45 and 50+ men’s singles and doubles categories.
