Committee submits memorandum to CS

ITANAGAR, Mar 6: The Yazali Zila Segment Trans-Arunachal Highway Compensation Deprived Forum (YZSTAHCDF) on Monday met Chief Secretary Satya Gopal in connection with the land compensation of the Trans-Arunachal Highway in the Potin-Bopi stretch.
The YZSTAHCDF submitted a memorandum alleging that compensations of their asset/properties were not paid as per the existing structure.
There are reportedly over 50 beneficiaries who have not received their compensation as per the assessment done by the committee and officials, the committee claimed.
‘A representation to this effect was submitted to the Lower Subansiri district deputy commissioner five months back but no attention has been given to our genuine demand. We also submitted representation to the Minister of Land Management, but no action has been initiated till today’, they added.
The committee also informed the CS that if justice is not delivered to them they may not part with their land for the construction of the TAH in their area.
YZSTAHCDF chairman B T Goyee informed that they have written a complaint seeking re-verification of the assets and properties.
