Workers’ union reiterate demands

ITANAGAR, Mar 12: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union (AAPWU), in a reminder letter to the state Minister for Labour and Employment, reiterated its 13-point demand and urged him to raise the issues in the ongoing Assembly Session in the larger interest of the workers.
The workers’ union demands include; enhancement of wages at Rs 18,000 per month, regularisation of existing casual contingencies workers by creating ‘C-1 AND C-2’ posts, abolition of muster role system from various departments, implementation of regular skilled development training programmes to impart the training in favour of workers and unemployed youths under APB&OCWWB fund; release of adhoc-bonus for the year 2010-17; fully consideration of appointment to successor on compassionate ground; regularization of ALCs/providing of voluntarily retirement scheme to the ALCs; regularization of APB & OCWWB employees and either enhancement of salary equivalent to regular staffs under ministerial cadre, etc.
