ITANAGAR, Mar 16: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal on Fridayinformed that the state cabinet in its meeting recently has already decided to establish Boleng as the Siang district’s headquarter and that the notification regarding it would soon be released.
He added the decision was taken by the state cabinet on the basis of the report containing about 200 pages by various government departments wherein it has recommended Boleng to be more suitable for the district headquarter.
Gopal, however, informed that Pangin will also share the development and that several departments would have it’s headquarter at Pangin.
Responding to the media over the November 24, 2014 notification, Gopal said that it has become nullified because it wasn’t issued with the approval from the state cabinet.
The latest cabinet decision would be major blow to the residents of Pangin who are currently staging a 48 hours bandh call, demanding the state government to refrain from altering the November 24, 2014 notification wherein it had mentioned to establish Pangin as temporary headquarter while establishing the Nyobo (Perang Lampang) as its permanent headquarter.
