DAPORIJO, Mar 23: Sixty representatives from various government departments participated in a four-day ‘extension personnel training’ programme which concluded here on Friday.
The programme was organised by the Upper Subansiri Krishi Vigyan Kendra under its human resource development programme.
Earlier, ICDS DD in-charge, Ijum Doye Bui, who inaugurated the programme, underscored the importance of gaining knowledge, and urged the participants to gain as much knowledge as possible from the programme.
Topics covered under the programme included extension education, capacity building of extension personnel, management of anaemia, fisheries development, organic pest disease management, low-cost tunnel farming, uplift of rural livelihood, animal husbandry, etc. Films on new technologies were also screened.
During the closing ceremony, DHO Gida Murtem encouraged the participants to “take maximum advantage from KVK experts, especially in case of new technologies.”
The participants also expressed their opinions.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
