Skill development and vocational training underway

YUPIA, Apr 9: Eleven unemployed youths and students from Sagalee, Doimukh, Tigdo, Itanagar and Yareso are participating in a skill development and vocational training programme on ‘general automobile workshop’ and tailoring which got underway at the ITBP camp here on Monday.
The programme is being conducted by the 31st Bn ITBP, in collaboration with the Papum Pare district administration.
31st Bn ITBP Commandant PN Prasad said the initiative for conducting vocational courses in various parts of the state is that of the “higher headquarters of the ITBP and the state administration” to empower the local unemployed youths of the state.
He advised the participants to avail the opportunity and become self employed.
