DCM’s intervention sought for early road construction

ITANAGAR, Apr 11: Former ASM and chairman, Road Committee NABARD, Lower Subansiri district, Tayo Nibing has in a letter to the Deputy Chief Minister on Wednesday, sought his intervention to ensure early completion of c/o 20 Km point on Ziro Daporijo BRTF road (New Loth village to Chambang phase-1-0 to 40km (GF/C) under RIDF-XI.
The chairman informed that a meeting was called recently, wherein the people of Tayo, Gangte, Nama, Charbya, Diligi and Chimpiki villages expressed concern over the inordinate delay in construction of the said road project. He further alleged that despite sanction of funds, the Yazali PWD Division has been unable to complete the project.
“Except formation cutting, all other components like metalling, carpeting besides, construction of bailey bridge, RCC slab culvert and retaining wall are incomplete till date,” he claimed and appealed to the DCM to direct the authority concern to immediately complete remaining 35 km soiling and metalling work without delay within this fiscal.
