Status of schemes under GSA discussed

BOMDILA, Apr 23: The status of various schemes under the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (GSA) was reviewed during a meeting held here on Monday.
Taking stock of the status of the already implemented and to-be-implemented schemes under the GSA in the district, Harish Kumar, Director, Land & Cantonment, Ministry of Defence, said every effort should be made to achieve the saturation level within the stipulated timeframe.
He opined that there is an urgent need for reconciliation of data as the one found on the internet on the ground are quite different.
Reviewing the schemes, West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Sang Phuntsok stated that a collective effort by the all concerned can ensure achievement of the target of the 16 villages in the district by 5 May.
“The administrative officers must lead from the front,involving all the departments concerned to see success and cent percent coverage of all the schemes under the GSA,” he said.
ADC Bopai Puroik presented a brief on the activities undertaken under the GSA in the district and elaborated the plan for other schemes in the offing.
Earlier in the morning, Kumar, accompanied by Prasoon Kumar Jha, Under Secretary, Ministry of I&B, visited Pedung and Shergaon villages to gain firsthand knowledge of the status of the schemes, and to interact with the locals. (DIPRO)
