ITANAGAR, Apr 25: Capital Police nabbed two more bike lifters and recovered a stolen scooter from them on Wednesday.
While lifter Modang Hissang (19) was nabbed from near BB Plaza here, his accomplice John @ Rana Rimo(18) was apprehended from a rented room at Donyi Colony, Jullang. Both the bike lifters are stated to be from Seppa, East Kameng.
However, the ring-leader of the gang is yet to be arrested, informed SDPO Itanagar Kamdam Sikom.
Two fake number plates, tools and equipments used to break bike locks were also seized from their possession.
During interrogation, it was revealed by them that they came to Itanagar on 13 April and had lifted 4 scooters till date. Of the four stolen scooters, two were recovered by the owners themselves while they were in the hotel and 1 scooter was sold and sent to Seppa, the SDPO said.
Both the accused were handed over to Naharlagun Police as the recovered scooter was stolen from Jully Tri-Junction area near Papu Nalah, which comes under the jurisdiction of Naharlagun Police Station.
