ANSU seeks strict ILP checking

ITANAGAR, May 11: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) has written to the Capital Complex deputy commissioner for strict checking of inner line permits (ILP) at all the police check gates and other areas in the capital region.
It said that there are reports that illegal migrants have been coming to the state capital without valid ILPS. The students said that police were lax in checking ILPs in their respective police stations leading to influx of illegal migrants.
The ANSU stated that administration should ensure proper verification of documents of ILP applicants and engage magistrates to carry out necessary checking as well as action against violators.
