PACHIN, May 14: Fifty men and women from Daporijo and Pasighat participated in a 10-day ‘parishad shiksha varga’ camp organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) at Abotani Vidya Niketan here from 5-14 May.
The camp was part of the annual training imparted to VHP karyakartas all over India to instill in them virtues such as discipline, patriotism, women empowerment, and such.
The trainees took part in activities such as meditation, yoga, group discussions, games, etc, and learned about the importance of local festivals and the indigenous faith and culture.
Rural Development Minister Alo Libang, the VHP’s international organizing secretary Vinayak, and others also attended the inaugural function.
