YUPIA, May 14: Papum Pare deputy commissioner Tai Kaye has asked the district’s heads of departments to remain alert and prepared during the monsoon season.
Addressing a pre-monsoon meeting on disaster management preparedness organized here by the disaster management department on Monday, the DC also called for updating the details of the officers and staff on the district administration’s portal at the earliest.
Discussions were held on procurement of emergency equipment; setting up a control room at the DC’s office; maintaining food grain stock in remote circles like Tarasso and Mengio; preparation of a mitigation plan for Doimukh area; timely issuance of notice to people living in vulnerable areas; and maintaining stocks of lifesaving drugs in the district.
All heads of departments attended the meeting and shared their suggestions on disaster preparedness. (DIPRO)
