ITANAGAR, May 21: The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) organized a blood donation camp for army personnel to commemorate the 27th death anniversary of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi at the RK Mission Hospital (RKMH) here on 21 May.
Hundreds of youths and Mahila Congress workers donated blood.
Former chief minister Nabam Tuki, who attended the camp along with Swami Kundan Maharaj of the RKMH, hailed the youth brigade of the Congress party for the noble work. He exhorted them to work in the greater interest of the society.
Arunachal Voluntary Blood Donation Organization chairman Ramesh Jikke motivated the youths to come forward for blood donation without any hesitation and fear.
APYC president Geli Ete also hailed the blood donors, and expressed gratitude to the authorities and the staff of the RKMH for their support in organizing the camp.
APCC general secretary Tachu Hina, APYC general secretary Tanu Dulom (Nima), and APMCC president in-charge Nabam Yakum also spoke.
