‘Unlock potentials of budding players’

LONGDING, May 22: Longding District Olympic Association (DOA) secretary Abo Monwangham appealed to the members of the Longding District Badminton Association (LDBA) to groom the young and budding badminton players for development of the sport in the district.
“Though I am not against elders playing the sport, we must give maximum chances to the young players,” he said in a meeting which was held to form the new executive body of the LDBA here on Tuesday.
“We must unlock the potentials of the youth through proper training so that they can compete at the highest level and can bring laurels to the state and the country,” he added.
The participants also decided to approach the competent authority to deploy one contingency staff to look after the club.
DOA president Tailai Taham, members from various sports associations of the district, and sports lovers attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
