JOLLANG, May 24: Chief Minister Pema Khandu inspected the facilities at the Central Jail here on Thursday.
Accompanied by Home Minister Kumar Waii, the CM inspected both male and female wards, the health centre for the inmates, and the security system in the jail premises.
The matter of shortage of land and the possibility of expanding the jail’s premises were discussed during the visit. The CM also sought suggestions from the jail’s authorities on improving the jail.
He asked the authorities to take care of the health and hygiene of the inmates and provide them with proper facilities and recreational activities. (CMO)
