ROING, May 26: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom on Friday inspected the flood control works being carried out by the Navayuga Company, the DRDA, and the WRD department to protect Bomjir village and Dibang bridge from the Dibang river.
The DC directed the work executing agencies to take immediate measures to mitigate the flood damages.
The villagers informed that more than 100 metres of agriculture land have been washed away by the river in the last two years.
The DC was accompanied by the DPO, the WRD EE, the DRDA PD, and engineers of Navayuga Company. (DIPRO)
