SEPPA, May 31: In a bid to give a fillip to Aadhaar enrollment in the district, the East Kameng district administration in collaboration with the health department on Thursday opened a biometric enrollment centre in the maternity ward of the district hospital here.
The facility will be helpful for enrollment of newborns in particular, and the public in general. Kampu Tallong, a newborn, was the first child to get enrolled at the centre.
Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singh Rajawat, DMO (in-charge) Dr SK Suman, DRCHO Dr Dirang Pizi and other health department staffers were present during the opening of the facility. (DIPRO)
