APSCW condemns minor’s rape

ITANAGAR, Jun 1: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has vehemently condemned the recent incident of moral degradation, in which a three-and-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 34-year-old-person in Changlang.
Expressing grave concern over increasing crimes against women and girl children, the APSCW demanded exemplary punishment for the paedophile.
It urged the Changlang SP to expedite the investigation and file the charge sheet as early as possible. It also sought a status report of the case from the SP.
Further, the commission urged the state government to provide compensation to the victim.
