NAHARLAGUN, Jun 7: Members of the Arunachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (APSPCB) during their 14th board meeting here on Thursday approved the board’s budget proposal for the 2018-19 financial year.
The members also discussed other important issues of the board.
APSPCB Chairman Techi Tagi Tara, who presided over the meeting, urged the members to create awareness among the people on the harmful effect of plastic products.
Member Secretary Tapek Riba deliberated on various aspects and activities of the board, while environmental engineer Thana Manlong made a PowerPoint presentation on the activities of the board.
Among others, Arunachal Pradesh Forest Corporation Chairman Talo Mugli, Industries Director Rajeev Takuk, Environment & Forests Joint Secretary Dagmik Riba, RGU professor Dr Amitava Mitra, and GB Pant Institute of Himalaya Environment & Development scientist Mahendra Lodhi attended the meeting.
