Teachers urged to improve edn scenario

AALO, Jun 29: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan urged the teachers in the district to work with renewed spirit to improve the education scenario in the district.
Addressing a meeting here on 25 June to review the academic performance of the district’s students in the CBSE and the internal board examinations, the DC said, “The poor results and falling academic graph should be a challenge to teachers and concern for all stakeholders as we cannot think of a progressive society without proper education.”
Urging the teachers to work in a cohesive manner, she said she would personally monitor the performance level of the schools from time to time.
DDSE Eto Ete said effort would be made to motivate the headmasters, BEOs, teachers, BRCs, CRCs and teachers at all levels to improve the performance level of the students.
The participating principals, headmasters and BEOs also spelt out multifarious problems like shortage of mathematics, science and Hindi teachers in many schools, growing indiscipline among students, parental role, infrastructures shortages, etc. (DIPRO)
