PASIGHAT, Jul 13: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak exhorted the residents of Pasighat to keep their town neat and clean.
“The smart denizens should come forward and join in the effort to ensure that our streets, offices, residential areas, market places, schools, colleges, public places, etc, are safe, tidy and looking beautiful,” the DC said in a meeting with PMC and DUDA officials here on Thursday.
Observing that stray animals roaming on the streets continue to be a menace, Tatak said the administration would step up its drive against stray animals after the expiry of the term of the civic body.
The DC also called for constituting a local “action-cum-monitoring committee” under the chairmanship of Smart City CEO A Morang. The committee would frame guidelines and assign tasks for maintaining cleanliness and controlling stray animals, he said.
Morang, ADC (HQ) Tatdo Borang, and engineers of PMC and UD attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
