DC reviews progress of works

PALIN, Jul 15: Kra Daadi Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu recently visited the Yangte-Tali road to take stock of the activities being carried out under the SIDF and untied schemes for early completion of the road project.
The DC, who was accompanied by the Tali ADC and other officials, also took stock of the status of the work on laying the bridge over the Kumey river, and the construction of the road to connect Tali ADC headquarters.
Tali PWD Division Executive Engineer Bamang Raju informed the DC that the tower foundation on both banks, and the anchor blocks on the right bank of the Kumey river have been erected.
“Work on erecting the anchor blocks on the left bank would be completed within three months, provided the Yangte-Tali road is open for the movement of heavy vehicles carrying anchor blocks and other materials,” he said.
The work on the bridge is expected to be completed by December, while the formation cutting for the road from Kumey bridge point to Tali has progressed up to 1.5 km and fair road connectivity to Tali is also slated to be completed by December.
The DC urged the executing agency and the contractor concerned to ensure that the work is completed before the deadline. He also sought cooperation from the villagers in this regard. (DIPRO)
