ITANAGAR, Jul 25: The Students’ Union Movement of All Arunachal (SUMAA) has accused the state government of hatching conspiracy to crush the anti-refugee movement and divert the attention of the general public towards the ill effects of the Tibetan policy provision.
In a press statement, the SUMAA stated that imposition of section 144 CrPC at Bomdila and arrest of the executive members of SUMAA under the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014 by the district administration is questionable, stating that the students’ organization has not yet declared any rally or bandh call at Bomdila.
While vehemently refuting the charges of extortion, unlawful activities, disruption of peace and tranquillity levelled against the SUMAA team by the district administration and Bomdila market, SUMAA urged the district administration to come up with concrete witness of the shopkeepers, whom the SUMAA executive members had extorted.
Further, SUMAA urged the Monpa Educational and Cultural Society to come clear on the Tibetan refugee issue and stop supporting the refugees.
The SUMAA said it will not bend down under any circumstances, and will continue the movement against the Tibetan refugee and the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy, 2014.
