SIT investigation sought

YUPIA, Jul 26: Claiming that his son, Likha Taje, was brutally murdered on 10 July in Doimukh by miscreants, aggrieved father Likha Tadh on Thursday sought a special investigation team (SIT) investigation into the case.
A case (No 22/18, u/s 302 IPC) has been registered at the Doimukh police station.
In a letter to the superintendent of police here, Tadh expressed dissatisfaction at the pace of investigation being conducted by the investigating officer.
“More than 13 days have passed since my son was murdered, but there is no sign of any substantial progress in the case, and till today the authority has been unable to collect the call details record and the mobile location of alleged accused,” he said.
Tadh requested the SP to either expedite the investigation by appointing a new investigating officer to conduct proper interrogation of all the accused or hand over the case to the SIT at the earliest.
