BJYM hits back at APCC

KHARSANG, Jul 30: The Changlang district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has hit back at the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in response to various allegations levelled by the Congress.
During a Congress rally held here on 28 July, APCC president Takam Sanjoy had levelled a number of allegations against the ruling BJP. The BJYM claimed that the “mass joining rally” that was organized here by the Congress party had “a dismal turnout locally” but was boosted by Congress workers from adjoining constituencies who had come in hired vehicles.
“It would be fair to say that the gathered public was far short of the 5000 claimed by the Congress in their press release. This goes to show that there is a cognitive dissonance among the top DCC leadership of Changlang district, for they are unaware of the actual ground reality and the true sentiment against the Congress party,” the BJYM unit stated in a release.
It added: “One of the major allegations that the Congress leadership levelled was that the BJP is dividing society on the basis of food, culture, faith and community. This is completely baseless as the BJP prides itself on integral humanism and philosophy of Sarva Dharma Sambhava. We have workers who are Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Indigenous, etc, and from different tribes and ethnicities, who all work harmoniously to fulfill the shared dream of India as a superpower in the immediate future.”
The Congress had also stated that the Gorkha and Yobin communities of the district were in a miserable condition due to communication difficulties.
“The BJP government has sanctioned an advanced landing ground at Vijaynagar, so that there can be more sorties to deliver emergency essential supplies in the monsoon while the road is being built. The BJP government at the Centre has also directed that the Yobin community be granted Scheduled Tribe status, so that they may take advantage of government benefits,” the BJYM said.
The youth wing of the BJP also cited schemes like Skill India Programme, Mudra Yojana and Khelo India Yojana to claim that the party is working towards the benefit of the local youths. It also claimed that the BJP is “a secular party and values the nation before party, party before self, and self is always last.”
