ITANAGAR, Aug 10: A two-day seminar on the ‘Role of financial institutions and MSMEs in the socioeconomic development of Northeast India’, organized by the Don Bosco College’s (DBC) commerce department, began here on Friday.
Former home minister L Wanglat attended the inaugural session, and enlightened the gathering about “the pros and cons of the economic status of Arunachal Pradesh.”
NABARD Itanagar General Manager Gyanendra Mani highlighted “the refinancing of growth and development in Arunachal Pradesh,” while MSME Regional Director In-charge Sukamal Deb shared knowledge of “the present and future perspectives of MSMEs in Northeast India.”
DBC principal Fr Jose Karamullil and the college’s director Fr CC Jose also spoke.
Among the prominent resource persons invited to the first input sessions were MSME Itanagar Assistant Director SLN Kumar, Industries Director Rajeev Takuk, and NERIST Assistant Professor Dr Manmohan Mall.
The first technical session was chaired by DN Govt College Associate Professor Dr AK Pandey.
Overall, there were over 130 participants and paper presenters from various universities and colleges across the country.
