ITANAGAR, Aug 13: The capital complex administration is gearing up for the celebration of Independence Day in a grand manner at Indira Gandhi Park here.
Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan informed that cultural troupes from 10 different tribes and four schools, and a team from Meghalaya will perform during the celebration.
The Independence Day march past will be presented by 23 parade contingents, including students and uniformed personnel, said Dhawan.
The deputy commissioner, who is monitoring the preparation work at IG Park, informed that the sitting arrangement has been made in a different way this time to ensure that everyone can witness the celebration without any inconvenience.
