DAPORIJO, Aug 13: The All New Market Welfare Association here has requested the state government to cancel the transfer of Daporijo police station Inspector Token Dubi, saying he has been doing his duties with sincerity and dedication.
The association sought to know why the officer was being transferred when he was executing his duties sincerely, and whether he was being transferred out “under political pressure or public demand.”
It condemned the government for transferring the officer, who it said has been prompt in executing his duties and maintaining law and order whenever required.
The association appealed to the government to immediately revoke the inspector’s transfer, saying “he is required in the area for controlling law and order by virtue of being a local officer and has the ability to control the situation of any untoward action.”
