Training for women SHGs held

HAYULIANG, Aug 21: Thirty farmwomen from Amliang and Chirang villages benefited from a training programme titled ‘Strengthening, formation and functions of women-based SHGs of Anjaw district’ conducted here by the Anjaw KVK on Monday.
Horticulture SMS Rebecca Eko highlighted the importance of SHGs, and their formation and functioning. She also offered technical support in the formation of women SHGs of Amliang and Chirang, and assured to provide need-based training to women SHG members.
Progressive woman farmer Ajimlu Bellai from Tafraliang village spoke about the achievements of her SHG, ‘Syadu’, and appreciated the KVK and the agriculture department for their continuous support.
Agriculture Development Officer S Bhattacharjee assured to provide agri-horti seeds and other plantation materials to the women SHGs.
