Min takes stock of ongoing schemes

TEZU, Aug 31: Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Dr Mohesh Chai during a meeting with the DC, the SP and HoDs here on Friday took stock of ongoing schemes under various departments in Lohit district.
Expressing concern over the pathetic condition of the Tezu-Sunpura road, Dr Chai, who is also the local MLA, sought clarification from the representative of the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation on the status of the road. He also took stock of the issues pertaining to the Tezu airport.
The minister sought information on the ongoing projects under the rural works, water resources, power, health, education, food & civil supplies, and other departments in the district. He highlighted the programmes and policies of the state government, and informed the participants about the bills passed recently by the state assembly.
Commending the efforts of the district administration and the government departments in ensuring successful conduct of the jan sunvai sammelan in Sunpura, Dr Chai expressed hope that the same spirit of public service would be carried over in the subsequent sammelans.
Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki informed that the next jan sunvai is tentatively scheduled to be held in the first week of September at Medo, in Wakro circle. (DIPRO)
