Rs 3 crore allocated for GHSS: Gamlin

AALO, Sep 6: Tax & Excise Minister Jarkar Gamlin on Thursday informed that over Rs 3 crore have been allocated for infrastructure development of the government higher secondary school (GHSS) here.
The minister said this after inaugurating the two-storied girls’ hostel of the school, constructed by the Aalo PWD division.
Gamlin exhorted the teachers to impart quality education, and advised the students to strive hard in their academic pursuits to face the present-day challenges. Informing them of the state government’s decision to constitute the Staff Selection Board to select all officials of the state, he said “merit alone will be counted in all selections in future.”
The minister also assured to look into the matter of water scarcity in the hostel.
West Siang DC Sode Potom, GHSS Principal In-charge PK Mishra, and the PWD EE were among those who attended the function. (DIPRO)
