Team constituted to investigate student’s death

TEZU, Sep 20: Lohit Superintendent of Police DW Thungon on Monday constituted a three-member team to investigate the murder of 23-year-old Arun Modi.
Modi’s dead body was found in an abandoned water tank in the botanical garden in Transport Colony here on Sunday.
A resident of Remi village in Dambuk circle of Lower Dibang Valley district, Modi was a 5th semester student of Indira Gandhi Government College here.
The SP informed that the investigation team is led by SI D Bezbaruah, under the supervision of the Tezu police station OC.
“Necessary directions have been given to the team in this regard,” said Thungon.
“Ensuring early arrest of the accused would be the first priority of the police. Our team is working on the case day and night to nab the accused,” he said.
