NAHARLAGUN, Sep 26: The CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology, Itanagar branch celebrated the 77th CSIR foundation day with a career awareness programme under project JIGYASA at the institute’s premises here on Wednesday.
Dr S Suresh Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, Dept of Forestry, NERIST delivered a lecture on ‘Career in Biological Sciences with special reference in Biotechnolgy’ as resource person.
Dr Jagat C Borah, Sc in-charge, NEIST branch gave a brief introduction of the institute and CSIR and project JIGYASA to the students and teachers.
Around 55 students, along with their teachers from Kendriya Vidyalaya NERIST, Nirjuli, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Naharlagun and Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nirjuli attended the day-long programme.
