Deed Circle last team to reach QFs of Eagle Football

NAHARLAGUN, Sep 28: Deed Circle FC completed the quarterfinals line-up for the Eagle Football Championship-2018 with a 5-0 win over Sagalee FC at RG Stadium here on Friday.
The players of Deed Circle started on an aggressive note, making several inroads into the rival’s territory. They found the net twice in the first half.
It was Nikter Nido who put Deed Circle ahead, scoring in the 27th minute. Captain Tatung Tadu converted a penalty in the 35th minute to double the lead.
Deed Circle FC were reduced to a ten-man team after Yurum Tayum was sent off by the referee just a few minutes before half-time. But the send-off did not make any difference in the team’s performance and it went on to score through Kipa Bhai (63rd min), Tatung Tadu (64th min), and Tadum Nguri (77th min).
Debia Tapung of SFC was also shown the red card in the 64th minute for committing a foul.
The first and second quarterfinals will be played on 30 September, informed APFA’s competition director John Neelam.
