ITANAGAR, Oct 5: The Arunachal Unemployed Civil Engineers’ Co-Ordination (AUCEC) has requested the state government to conduct recruitment to the various advertised posts under the urban development & housing (UDH) department without further delay by revoking the cancellation order issued on 31 August.
In a representation to the chief minister, the AUCEC stated that the department had floated advertisements for recruitment to the posts of surveyor (civil), grade-III draughtsman (civil), grade-III stenographer, UDC, and LDC in January. However, it said, the entire recruitment process has been cancelled through an order issued on 31 August.
While welcoming the recruitment policy of the government, and the formation of the Arunachal Staff Selection Board (APSSB), the group said that, by the time it constitutes the committee, guidelines, recruitment rules, etc, “many aspiring candidates would cross their upper age limit.”
It appealed to the government to revoke the cancellation order and continue with the recruitment process in the greater interest of the aspirants.
