LUCKNOW, Oct 6: A team of scientists from theArunachal Pradesh State Council of Science & Technology (APSCST) and the State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC) led by Science & Technology Secretary Gaken Ete is participating in the 4th edition of Asia’s largest science festival – the four-day India International Science Festival (IISF) – which got underway here on 5 October.
The IISF is conducted jointly by the union science & technology and earth sciences ministries to mark the importance of science in the development of the society. The festival encourages participation of researchers, students, and the public, and serves as a platform to create and develop collaborations among research institutes and organizations to showcase and transfer innovative ideas and technologies developed by various research institutes.
This year’s event, which also features an expo, was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday. Leading Indian and international research institutes like DRDO, ISRO, the department of space, ICAR, CSIR, ICMR, etc, are participating in the expo, showcasing their leadership in the advancement of innovative technologies.
The APSCST and the SRSAC are demonstrating various successfully implemented and ongoing scientific projects in the state.
