World Sight Day celebrated at RKMH

ITANAGAR, Oct 12: The World Sight Day (WSD) was celebrated in the conference hall of the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital here on Thursday.
The programme was organized by the RKMH in collaboration with the National Mission for Vision, Mumbai and Light for the World, Austria in order to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of eyesight.
RKMH Ophthalmologist Dr Talum Sorum gave a power-point presentation on World Sight Day theme ‘Eye Care Everywhere.’ He also gave some important tips on eye care to the students, teachers, hospital staff and doctors present on the occasion.
Other activities include extempore speech and drawing competitions on the topic ‘Eye Care and Safety’ and distribution of prizes to the winners from RKM Nursing School students.
Among others, department of Indigenous Affairs Chairman, Nabum Atum and Heema Hospital CMD, Dr B Rana were present.
