Pineapple suckers distributed among farmers

LONGDING, Oct 14: Around 75,000 pineapple suckers were distributed among the farmers of Zedua village here on Saturday.
The suckers were distributed under NEC funded project to improve the economic condition of the rural farmers.
Subject Matter Specialist in Plant Protection Dr S Ngomle advised the farmers to adopt scientific methods to enhance production. He said the scientists of the KVK are always ready to provide technical support to the farming community of the district.
Gaon Burah of Zedua village, L Wangpan advised the villagers to plant the suckers at the earliest.
More than 30 farmers attended the programme, which was organized by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Arunachal Pradesh centre, Basar in collaboration with KVK, Longding.
