TEZU, Oct 15: Lohit district Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki sought the cooperation of all concerned for successful implementation of Mission Indradhanush in the district
Chairing a District Task Force on Immunization meeting here in his office on Monday, Leki informed that the campaign is being held to immunize all the children below two years from seven vaccine-preventable diseases.
The campaign will be launched throughout the state on 22 October and will culminate on 29 October. He reiterated the need to cover all the children less than two years old under the campaign.
DMO S Chai Pul informed the gathering that in rural areas of Lohit district, 100 percent target has been achieved and only 15 children are left out in the urban areas located.
The reasons for the dropout or left out of 15 children were due to non posting of ASHAs at the urban area.
She assured the gathering that all the left-out children will be covered under Mission Indradhanush 2018, and sought active cooperation from all the stakeholders for successful implementation of the campaign in the district.
DDSE M Linggi, Deputy Director ICDS Savitry Khamti and all the medical officers of the district were present in the meeting. (DIPRO)
