Union seeks DCM’s intervention

ITANAGAR, Oct 29: The All Kamle District Students’ Union in a representation to the deputy chief minister on Monday sought his intervention in the matter of the delayed construction of the 107 kms long Tamen-Dollungmukh NEC road, and appealed to him to ensure that the project is properly monitored to ensure its early completion.
The project, sanctioned under the 11th Plan (vide Sanction Order No NC (T&C) approved/2010-11, dated 16/12/2010) with a project cost of Rs 13,962 lakhs, was supposed to be completed within three years as per the laid down terms and conditions but is still incomplete even after eight years, the union said.
Terming the road the lifeline of the people of Dollungmukh and Kamle, the union requested the DCM to direct the authorities to furnish the latest status report on the project to ensure its early completion.
