NAMSAI, Oct 29: A two-day orientation workshop on ‘VHSND and RI micro-plan’ for MOICs, MOs, ANMs, WCD, and panchayat, religious, youth and women welfare leaders began at Arunachal University of Studies here on Monday.
DC Tapasya Raghav, who chaired the inaugural session, expressed concern that “the district’s performance has dropped in the last few months in all the KPI under NITI Aayog.
“Health and nutrition share 30% weightage under NITI Aayog. The main reason is inconsistent baseline data and poor performance of both health and nutrition,” the DC said, adding that the base of good performance lies in good micro-plan.
DMO Dr Soreya Namchoom, religious and youth leaders, and DRCHO Dr Tope Yomcha also spoke.
The workshop is technically supported by the UNICEF.
