KHELLONG, Nov 1: Hundreds of people benefitted from the Sarkar Aapke Dwar (SAD) camp held at the government ME school here in West Kameng district on Thursday.
The district’s 7th edition of SAD was held for Khellong, Nijong, Khazalang, Nazangpong, West Sachung and Lapusa villages. Of the total population of 980, about 200 availed of the services provided by various departments.
The Upper Subansiri district administration held its 6th SAD camp at Taliha, covering 50 villages, to provide services to the people of Taliha and Payeng circles. Fourteen departments participated in the camp.
Local MLA Punji Mara, who inaugurated the camp, urged the departments’ officials to make their best efforts to offer services to the people, and appealed to the public to avail of the benefits provided during such camps.
The villagers of Phomakhar, Surbin, Kokhem and Muktur in Tawang district also benefited from the 10th SAD camp held by the district administration at Muktur village on Thursday.
DC Sang Phuntso inaugurated the camp, which was also attended by Lungla ADC R D Thungon and Dudungkhar CO Nawang Thutan.
In Tirap, the district administration organised its 9th SAD camp at Barap village, benefiting the villagers of Sinnu, Raho, Liangchen, Longliang, Pongkong and Sanliam. The camp was inaugurated by DC PN Thungon. (DIPROs)
