Photography workshop for children conducted

ITANAGAR, Nov 8: Around 20 children in the age group of 7 to 12 years participated in a photography workshop-cum-photo walk themed ‘Know your city’ conducted by the Arunachal Photography Club (APC), in collaboration with the research directorate, at Itafort here on 7 November.
The participants were given hands-on training on the basics of photography by mentors during the workshop. In the quiz competition, the Civil Secretariat team became the winner, and Egam L Ete won the ‘photographer of the day’ award.
During the technical session, APC president Bengia Mrinal stressed the need of such initiatives, while assistant general secretary Gagam Jamoh taught the basics of photography, and APC treasurer Dr Kaling Megu encouraged the participants to take up photography as a hobby.
Research Director Batem Pertin briefed the participants on the history of Itafort, while Research Deputy Director (Archaeology) Bulton Dutta explained the structure of Itafort and its hidden history.
