Governor seeks harnessing of tourism potential of state

KEVADIA, Nov 14: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Dr BD Mishra met the Union Minister of State Tourism KJ Alphones on Wednesday and took up the issues related to the development of tourism in Arunachal Pradesh. He emphasized that harnessing the tourism potential of the State will change the course of development in Arunachal Pradesh. By promoting the eco, adventure, cultural, rural and religious tourism in the State, it will ensure quantum jump in the revenue for the State and Nation and also have positive impact on ‘Act East’ policy.
The Governor also met the Chief of Army Staff General Vipin Rawat and also Commissioner, Kendriya Vidhyalaya Santosh Kumar Mall on Wednesday. The Governor held in-depth discussion related to ‘Pay Back to Society’ initiative and Kendriya Vidhyalayas in selected border villages of Arunachal Pradesh with the duo.
The Commissioner Kendriya Vidhyalaya is visiting state capital Itanagar on Nov 19 to finalise the opening of six new Kendriya Vidhyalayas in Arunachal Pradesh. PRO
