SAI emerges champion in inter-club boxing championship

RONO HILLS, Nov 15: Sports Authority of India (SAI)’s special area game centre at Naharlagun emerged champion with 37 points in the first state level inter-club boxing championship, which concluded at Rajiv Gandhi University here on Wednesday.
Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) finished runners up with 26 points.
Kipa Parang of SAI and Muni Leya of Ganga Boxing Club were declared as the best boxers in men’s and women’s section respectively.
The championship was conducted by a panel of nine judges under the supervision of state’s first national boxing referee Tenzing Chogyal. Boxing coach Teli Kahi was the observer.
The championship was organized Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association in collaboration with Department of Physical Education, RGU.
