YINGKIONG, Nov 15: Rural Development Minister Alo Libang inaugurated the new police station building here in Upper Siang district on Wednesday, in the presence of DGP SBK Singh.
The new police station will have a public facilitation desk and a separate woman- and child-friendly room, the minister said, and reiterated the state government’s commitment to improve the infrastructure of police stations in every district.
The DGP in his address exhorted the district police to work hard and ensure the safety of the people.
DIG (Central) Apur Bitin, Upper Siang SP GS Sidhu and officers of the BRTF, the army and the district administration also attended the inaugural function.
