Army contributes for education of tribal students

WAKRO, Nov 24: Brigadier Robi Kapoor of the Indian Army’s 82nd Mountain Brigade during a ceremony at the Beena Ghose Roy Enclave here in Lohit district on Saturday handed over a cheque for Rs 50,000 towards providing free education to the tribal students of the rural areas.
He also contributed notebooks for the school children, and advised the students to give back to society once they succeed in their goals.
“Once you occupy positions of power, your decisions will impact lives around you. Hence it’s important for educated and successful people to contribute back for the growth and prosperity of the society,” the brigadier said.
He also presented law books on the CrPC, the IPC and the Police Act to the police station here. They were received by Inspector Thomas Pertin.
The brigadier also participated in an interaction with the Apnes of Apna Vidya Bhavan and the students of the KGVB here.
Meanwhile, Didar Singh of Prakash Motors and Sonai Bellai also contributed to the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme for free education.
